Over my gap year from CalArts (aka the year the school went online), I wanted to expand my painting skills as I was never very good at it.

One day I went into a thrift store and found a beat up skateboard and bought it for $10. I took the wheels and trucks off the deck and sanded it down until it was smooth to have a blank canvas.

I ended up really liking using a skateboard as a canvas so I continued finding used skateboards for cheap and renewing them into something different.
